Overview
Spend nine days immersed in two of Canada’s greatest theater festivals, The Stratford Festival and the Shaw Festival, pairing world-class performances with faculty-led conversations that treat theater the way it deserves to be treated: as literature, history, politics, and craft, all at once. This program is designed for those who love ideas as much as they love a great curtain call, with time built in for discussion, reflection, and the simple pleasure of being in a beautiful place with fellow Yalies. You will begin in charming Stratford, settling into a historic boutique hotel in the heart of town, then continue to Niagara-on-the-Lake, where waterfront views and elegant architecture set the stage for the second half of the journey. Along the way, the rhythm is intentional: mornings for engaging group discussion, afternoons at leisure to explore, and evenings reserved for pre-theatre dinners and performances, capped by a memorable matinee in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
