Destinations:

Join us in Egypt in 2027 to experience the most magnificent Total Solar Eclipse of our lifetimes as it sweeps across the Valley of the Nile. Our viewing location aligns with the center line of the eclipses path to totality. The duration of this eclipse in Luxor, Egypt will be a spectacular 6 minutes and 22 seconds! The next time such a long Total Solar Eclipse will occur is in 2114.

The program begins in London for two nights. Meet fellow eclipse enthusiasts and private jet travelers at a welcome reception in the library of the Royal Institution. Explore the history of scientific discovery with an exclusive guided tour of the Faraday Museum when it is closed to the public. A panel lecture by professors and scientists from university sponsors who accompany the group will be held in the historic Theatre at the Ri which has long been a stage where some of history’s most brilliant scientific minds presented their groundbreaking work. Discover the origins of timekeeping and the pivotal role London has played in the history of astronomy with a visit to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Then, in order to avoid the anticipated chaos at the airport in Cairo, fly five hours by private chartered jet with 80 business class seats directly from London to Sphinx International Airport in Giza near the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum. On a guided tour explore Egypt’s rich history, spanning from prehistoric times to the Roman era in the twelve Main Galleries. Delve into the daily lives, spirituality, and burial practices of the Egyptian people as you experience this extraordinary civilization. This much anticipated museum is the largest in the world.

Reboard your private jet for the short flight to Luxor, Egypt where you will stay at the Luxor Hilton for three nights. While in Luxor participants will have the opportunity to visit the Valley of the Kings and Tutankhamon’s tomb, the Valley of the Queens with the tomb of Queen Nefertari, and Karnak Temple, all in the relative cool of the early morning and late afternoon to avoid the August midday heat. The Hilton is on the center line of the eclipse and the hotel’s amenities will be available immediately before and after the Eclipse.

Upon returning to London by private jet the next morning, enjoy a panoramic tour viewing some of London’s iconic buildings en route to London’s Science Museum. Round off your celestial tour with an evening visit to the Royal Society, the UK’s national academy of science and the oldest continually existing scientific academy in the world, renowned for its contributions to scientific advancement. Attend an enlightening short tour of the history of the Royal Society, highlighting its pivotal role in the history of astronomy and solar eclipses. Then, celebrate your experience with a wonderful final dinner in the elegant dining room of the Royal Society and savour a gourmet meal while reflecting on your astronomical experiences.
